Student Behavior Agreement
Be proactive in terms of personal safety. Leave expensive clothes and jewelry at home. Always travel in groups of 3 or more. Be aware of your surroundings and other people at all times.
Be on time. For the tour to run smoothly, each member of the group must be punctual and demonstrate respect to everyone involved. A late start may prevent the entire group from seeing and doing everything that was planned. If an adult must stay behind because you are tardy, you will be responsible for the additional costs to meet up with the group.
All scheduled activities are required. If you’re sick or have a physical ailment that might prevent you from participating, you must tell your Group Leader at least an hour before the scheduled time of departure.
You’re expected to respect the nightly curfew for your own safety and security. Your Group Leaders could establish a curfew (usually 11:00 or midnight) and may conduct room checks. Visitors or group members of the opposite sex are not permitted in your room.
Travelers under the age of 18 may not consume alcohol on tour. Travelers over the age of 18 (or older, if local laws require) may consume beer or wine in moderation. Excessive drinking by any traveler will not be tolerated.
Smoking/vaping is not allowed at all on this trip. If students are caught smoking/vaping, they will be dismissed from the trip at the participant’s expense.
All phone calls or personal expenses that are incurred at hotels are your responsibility and must be paid prior to departure from each hotel.
Participants are responsible for any damage that occurs to their hotel room or buses. If you notice any damage upon arrival, you should notify your Tour Director immediately.
Remember, your destination is not just “your destination.” It is someone’s home. Be a respectful, curious, and engaged listener wherever you go.
Use good judgment and obey all the laws of the country you are in! Serious offenses, including shoplifting and possession of illegal drugs, will result in, at best, immediate dismissal from the tour and premature return home at your expense. At worst, you will be subject to the jurisdiction and law enforcement of local authorities.
*If you don’t conform to any of these guidelines and regulations, you risk disciplinary action and possible dismissal from the tour, returning home at your own expense. This decision is up to EF and the Group Leaders.*
